Natalie Imbruglia to perform at charity gala

Australian singer-songwriter Natalie Imbruglia is headed to Dubai to join the bevy of A-list stars who will headline the Brilliant is Beautiful gala this week.

Imbruglia will perform live at the charity event, which is being held tomorrow at the Grand Millennium Hotel Business Bay. The gala will also see Hollywood stars Ben Stiller, Susan Sarandon, Madeline Stowe, who, along with the Duchess of York and Caroline Stanbury, will assist artist Sacha Jafri as he finishes a painting live at the event for auction.

Auction bidders will have the opportunit­y to win afternoon tea with the Duchess of York in London, or have a Golden Globes experience in Los Angeles courtesy of Hollywood star Sean Penn.

The proceeds of the event will benefit the Artist for Peace and Justice initiative­s, together with Dubai Cares, which aims to provide quality education to children and young people in developing countries, as well as the Brilliant is Beautiful Global Fund for Women and Girls’ Education, a scholarshi­p fund that helps underprivi­leged young women with programmes in countries such as Pakistan, Uganda, Peru and Haiti. Tickets to the event are sold out.
