Al Nasr bring in Zanardi as coach

Al Nasr have replaced Serbian coach Ivan Jovanovic with Brazilian Caio Zanardi.

The former Brazil Under-17 boss was previously a technical coordinator at Al Nasr from 2007 to 2013. Zanardi won his first game in charge against Fujairah 2-0 on Tuesday. The decision to sack Jovanovic came after Al Nasr won just one of their last five games — leaving them in the bottom half of the table.

Jovanovic served Al Nasr over two spells since 2013, winning three cup titles to end the club’s 25-year wait for silverware. (Staff Report)
