Minister for shipping faints at function

Minister for Shipping Nitin Gadkari, who is diabetic, fainted during an event here yesterday due to “low sugar”. He left for the Shirdi Sai Baba temple later after taking rest.

The incident occurred when he was standing with other dignitaries for the National Anthem, at the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV) Agricultural University’s convocation.

Feeling uneasy, Gadkari lost his balance and collapsed on the dais. He condition was later stated to be “stable”. (IANS)
