Four-year term

Currently, the representation ■ of women in FNC is 22.5% There are 40 members of ■ the FNC. Since 2006, half of the 40 FNC members have been elected to serve four-year terms. The other half of the House comprises officials who have been appointed by the Ruler’s Court of the UAE’s seven emirates. Next year, the UAE is set ■ to hold new parliamentary elections by June-end.
