Officials to face chief justice over water crisis

Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken suo moto notice of the non-availability of pure and safe drinking water for the people of the Bhagnari area in Balochistan.

The action was taken after a viral video on social media and a programme telecast by a private TV channel showed people and animals in the area were drinking contaminated, polluted and unhygienic stagnant water from the same pond outside the Bhagnari Area.

Nisar has directed a number of officials to appear in court in Islamabad on December 14. (APP)
