Expansion of industries will mean more jobs, Imran says
PM says policies that attract investors will lift country out of economic situation
Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday reiterated his resolve to steer the country out of the difficult times and maintained that the country was not deficient in any resources.
The only thing needed, he said, is an investor-friendly environment. Imran said the government had fully focused on bridging the gap between imports and exports and assured that there would be no difficulty in running a business.
Imran said the government would eradicate unemployment through expansion of industries. He was talking to delegations of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) and prominent businessmen, the PM Office’s media wing in a press release said.
The PM told the delegations that he had come to listen to their issues and find solutions.
The unemployment issue could be overcome by imparting skills to the youth, he added. He said the government wanted uniform development of the whole country and eradication of poverty. Pakistan will progress when the environment for business and investment is conducive, he added.
The prime minister also expressed the resolve to root out corruption. The delegation presented different suggestions and apprised the prime minister about their issues.
