Al Habtoor Group renews deal for Zayed Marathon

Dubai-based group backs races in New York and Egypt

The Al Habtoor Group will be the main sponsor for the 15th Zayed Charity Marathon in New York and Egypt.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, the Founding Chairman of the Habtoor Group, said that the 2019 New York Marathon will be sponsored by the Habtoor Group for the fourth consecutive year while also chipping in as the sponsor to the 2018 Zayed Charity Marathon in Egypt for the second year running. Al Habtoor signed the renewal of the sponsorship with Lt. General Mohammad Hilal Al Ka’abi, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Zayed Charity Marathon on Tuesday. They were joined by Colonel Mohammad Ali Amer, General Coordinator, Zayed Charity Marathon, and Mohammad Al Habtoor, Vice-Chairman and CEO, Al Habtoor Group.

The annual Shaikh Zayed Charity Marathon, known as the UAE Healthy Kidney 10km Race, is scheduled to take place in New York’s Central Park next April. It was founded in 2005 in honour of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President and founder of the UAE.
