Woman jailed for forcing teens into prostitution

woman will be jailed for 10 years for bringing young girls to Dubai and forcing them into prostitution, after losing her appeal yesterday.

An Iraqi woman, 64, and her daughter, 32, had forced a 16-year-old Iraqi girl to have sex with strangers. The girl ran away from the brothel and informed the police about the racket.

In April, the Dubai Court of First Instance convicted both mother and daughter of human trafficking. Yesterday, the judge dismissed the daughter’s appeal and upheld the jail sentence.
