What has been agreed upon
An immediate ceasefire by warring parties in the port, city and wider governorate of Hodeida.
A redeployment of both forces will follow, limited to agreedupon posts outside of Hodeida city, within a maximum of 21 days from the ceasefire. The creation of a joint committee, supervised by the UN, to oversee redeployment and demining.
The UN will increase its presence in Hodeida port and the nearby ports of Saleef and Ras Issa.
Port revenues will be channelled to Yemen’s central bank through its branch in Hodeida for the payment of salaries throughout Yemen. Security will be ‘the responsibility of local security forces in accordance with Yemeni law’.
