PM warns those who fail to come to work and deliver will not remain in their positions |

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has warned his ministers that those who fail to come to work and deliver will not remain in their positions.

The prime minister made the remarks yesterday during a ceremony to mark the completion of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s 100 days in office.

Imran demanded that all ministers be at work every day, without fail.

He said: “All of you should go to work every day and stay there till the evening. I will know who doesn’t go to work. And then no one should complain that they are not a minister anymore... When you get up in the evening, ask yourself if you’ve made any policy that day, which will help the underprivileged.”

Tweeps across the country were in full support.

@drmsqureshi tweeted: “Appreciated. However, simply presence of the ministers in their offices would not help in overcoming the burning issues faced by the people. Much has to be done to overhaul the stereotyped system.”

@khanofleeds tweeted: “No previous PM engaged with his team of MPs or the people of the country like this. Imran Khan is a true reformist and a patriot.”
