Tourist cleared of molesting housewife

Prosecutors

lost their appeal against a tourist who was cleared of chasing a housewife to an elevator and molesting her.

The incident happened when the 36-year-old housewife bought a coffee from a beverage outlet at a residential tower in Downtown Dubai and was walking towards the escalator in February 2017. As she took the escalator to the parking lot, the Saudi tourist, 33, was reported to have stood behind her and grabbed her by the waist. The woman claimed that the tourist pressed his body to hers and groped her before fleeing the scene. (Staff Report)
