OFFERING PRAYERS IN REMEMBRANCE OF SIKH GURU

Young Sikh devotees light candles to celebrate the birth anniversary of the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh, in Amritsar yesterday. Thousands of devotees thronged gurdwaras across Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Patna and other places across the country to offer prayers on the 352nd birthday of Guru Gobind Singh. Guru Gobind Singh (1666-1708) is revered by the Sikh community.
