DP World’s acquisition is the latest in a series of deals across Europe, Latin America, and India as the operator goes on an expansion drive.

In March 2018, DP World acquired Perubased Cosmos Agencia Maritima in Peru for $315.7 million. Later, in August, DP World said it acquired 100 per cent ownership of Danish shortsea and container feeder shipping firm Unifeeder. DP World’s joint venture with India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund also closed a deal in July to acquire a 90 per cent stake in Continental Warehousing Corporation.
