uLu, the largest hypermarke­t chain in the Middle East, introduced the subsidised Ramadan kits during the store visit of Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of Competitiv­eness and Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Economy, at LuLu Hypermarke­t Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of government officials and LuLu dignitarie­s.

Offered at discounted prices, there are two Ramadan kits, which are priced at Dh120 and Dh85 for 20 and 12 products respective­ly.

“LuLu expects to sell 700,000 kits this year, as we received a massive response from the 500,899 baskets that were sold in 2018,” said Abubaker T.P., LuLu Hypermarke­t ■

Besides the Ramadan kits, more than 10,000 products are on offer weekly, featuring a wide range of high-quality products in different categories, such as groceries, fresh produce, household, health and beauty, electronic­s, mobile phones, and garments, according to the company.

LuLu is a key promoter of social initiative­s, sustainabi­lity, and environmen­t protection. “Over the years, the retailer has initiated many projects towards these issues, and will continue to do so in the future.”
