uLu, the largest hypermarket chain in the Middle East, introduced the subsidised Ramadan kits during the store visit of Dr Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of Competitiveness and Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Economy, at LuLu Hypermarket Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of government officials and LuLu dignitaries.
Offered at discounted prices, there are two Ramadan kits, which are priced at Dh120 and Dh85 for 20 and 12 products respectively.
“LuLu expects to sell 700,000 kits this year, as we received a massive response from the 500,899 baskets that were sold in 2018,” said Abubaker T.P., LuLu Hypermarket ■
Besides the Ramadan kits, more than 10,000 products are on offer weekly, featuring a wide range of high-quality products in different categories, such as groceries, fresh produce, household, health and beauty, electronics, mobile phones, and garments, according to the company.
LuLu is a key promoter of social initiatives, sustainability, and environment protection. “Over the years, the retailer has initiated many projects towards these issues, and will continue to do so in the future.”
