#JusticeforMadiha: After horrific news of a minor girl getting raped, murdered and dumped emerged from Pakistan’s Hangu district, netizens took to Twitter to express their concerns about child safety in the country. Enraged tweeps used the hashtag #WhereisRapistLaw and demanded immediate justice from authorities. Many also took the opportunity to tweet targeting Shireen Mazari, currently Pakistan’s federal minister for human rights. @SyedAqibAli2019: Increasing rate of child sexual abuse in Pakistan is [an] alarming situation. Culprits can easily protect themselves, because there is no severe punishment for child abuse. We demand death penalty for the child rapists...

@hansbadvi: Our criminal justice system still doesn’t take seriously one of the most heinous acts a person can commit. #WhereIsRapistLaw

@DavidWaqas: This absolutley broke my [heart]. Seven years old little angel was raped and brutally killed in Hangu District. No amount of mourning or words can compensate the loss of this beautiful little girl. How long will this cruelty continue? #JusticeForMadiha #WhereIsRapistLaw

@IamWaqasSheikh: Enough is enough! Yesterday Zainab and today Madiha! These aren’t the kids of our ministers but these kids are from poor families. So obviously our ministers don’t care about them, especially Fawad Chaudhry and Shireen Mizari.
