Supervisor beats boy for not combing hair, arrested
A36-year-old Arab supervisor in a Sharjah social centre was arrested and referred to the Misdemeanour Court for assaulting a 10-year-old boy because he had not combed his hair.
The accused told prosecutors that he worked as a welfare worker in the social centre and had asked the boy more than once to take care of his personal hygiene.
In the last instance, when he asked the boy to comb his hair, he did not comply. So he slapped him on his neck. The boy said that when was about to leave the computer room after class, the accused pulled him aside and hit him on the neck from behind.
He denied the boy’s claims that he was beaten more than once. The Public Prosecution ordered that the accused remain in custody for seven days. The case will be heard on August 11.
