Mohammad reviews UAE’s energy plans
Country’s infrastructure key in maintaining logistical excellence
The UAE is the region’s finance, business and innovation hub thanks to its logistics system, which is the strongest and most efficient in the region, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, VicePresident and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has said.
The logistical excellence cannot be maintained or strengthened without bolstering the quality of the country’s infrastructure and developing the transport sector, Shaikh Mohammad added.
Shaikh Mohammad’s remarks came during a meeting with a team from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. The meeting discussed the main pillars of the ministry’s 10-year road map for energy, infrastructure, housing and transportation.
During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad said: “We want to achieve a qualitative leap in infrastructure, energy and transportation projects in line with a vision that combines inclusiveness and integration, takes into account balance and sustainability and enhances the UAE’s competitiveness regionally and globally”.
The meeting aimed to identify objectives for the next ten years in line with the 50-year strategy and as part of a comprehensive vision intended to enhance the UAE’s competitiveness globally,

Shaikh Mohammad also reviewed the indicators of the UAE’s global leadership in the energy, infrastructure and housing sectors, highlighting that energy and infrastructure projects are an essential pillar to enhance the UAE’s leadership in such sectors.
Ranked first
The UAE has been ranked first in the world in terms of getting electricity — procedures, time, and cost, and the percentage of people with access to electricity.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future and Suhail Mohammad Faraj Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
