WHY INFLUENZA VACCINE PRICES DIFFER ACROSS CLINICS IN DUBAI Insurance cover?

-

Private health centres, clinics and hospitals offer the vaccine for anything between Dh40 and Dh120 when the actual

cost is Dh21.60, a health insurance expert said.

“Consultation and ‘pushing’ charges [injecting the vaccine] are added to the cost of the vaccine,” he said. “These charges depend on the health-care facility one goes to, whether it is high-end or low-end, and accordingly prices vary.”

The expert said that basic essential plans and many modest premium plans do not cover the cost of vaccination. It is only some high-premium insurance package that do so.
