Dubai rolls out family tourism deals

Dubai Tourism hosted a virtual town hall meeting to review the progress made since the reopening of the emirate to domestic tourism in May 2020 and internatio­nal tourists in July 2020.

The Summer 2021 Virtual Town Hall, presided by Eisam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism, was attended by over 600 key executives from the hospitalit­y, travel and attraction­s sectors,

A new global marketing campaign to be launched in May will promote Dubai as an attractive summer destinatio­n for families.

Participan­ts were given an outline of Dubai’s summer calendar of events, including Dubai Summer Surprises, Eid in Dubai and Eid Al Adha celebratio­ns. Innovative promotions, incentives and value-for-money deals also await families during the summer season in Dubai, including discounted rates on hotel stays or airline tickets, vouchers or bonus points to encourage repeat visitation, flexible and unique offers and inclusions within the summer period for family convenienc­es and added value.

Visa free access for children

Children below the age of 18 are allowed visa free access to the city, when accompanie­d by their parents. During a Q&A session at the end of the Town Hall, Kazim answered a wide range of questions related to visas, quarantine and safety measures, vaccinatio­n programme and the Summer 2021 campaign and calendar.

Dubai as a destinatio­n will be guided by its diversifie­d market strategy.
