Egypt: Qatar ties on the right track

Ties between Egypt and Qatar is going on the right track after more than three years of strains, according to a senior Egyptian official. “The course of relation with Qatar is going in the right positive direction,” Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry said in television remarks. “Egypt is working to eliminate strains in relations between the two countries to reach again the point of restoring them and moving with steady steps,” he added. In January, Egypt and Qatar agreed to resume their diplomatic ties after more than three years of hiatus.
