Vaccinated travellers need not quarantine in Abu Dhabi
Negative PCR test remains mandatory for all arrivals to UAE
Vaccinated travellers arriving in Abu Dhabi from Sunday onwards will no longer need to quarantine, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Committee said yesterday.
However, all travellers — vaccinated or not — will have to present a negative result of a PCR test taken not more than 48 hours prior to departure.
Vaccinated travellers from Green List destinations must take a PCR test on arrival and another test on day 6 if they continue to stay in the emirate. Those arriving from other destinations must take a PCR test on arrival, followed by tests on days 4 and 8.
Unvaccinated travellers from Green List destinations, including those exempt from vaccination, must take a PCR test on arrival. They will not need to quarantine, but must take follow-up PCR tests on days 6 and 9 of their stay.
10-day quarantine
Unvaccinated travellers from all other destinations will have to quarantine for 10 days. They will also have to take a PCR test on arrival and a follow-up test on day 9.
Ever since international travel resumed, Abu Dhabi has required all passengers to quarantine in the emirate unless they arrive from a destination on the Green List. The UAE now accepts vaccinations received outside the country.
