Sulayem wins 13th Middle East Championship

2001 - Mohammad Bin Sulayem is the FIA Middle East champion for the 13th time after taking his Ford Focus World Rally Car to an emphatic victory in the Syrian International Rally. The Arab world’s top driver will now look to underline Ford’s Middle East dominance by clinching the manufacturers’ championship in Dubai. That seems little more than a formality, as Bin Sulayem aims for the perfect finale to the season.
