The federal government has said it would give the best possible treatment in the country or abroad for legendary actor, Umer Sharif, in view of his health condition.

the direction of Imran Khan.

Talking to media persons, Ismail said prayers of the entire nation were with the actor who had been battling for his life at the hospital. He said the PM had issued directives to his Special Assistant on Health, Dr

Faisal Sultan, to study Sharif’s case and find out how the government could lend support.

Medical board set up

He said a medical board was being constituted jointly by a senior doctor of AKUH and Dr Sultan to examine the health of the actor. “The Pakistani government and Prime Minister Imran Khan will fully facilitate treatment of Umer Sharif, whether in the country or anywhere in the world, in accordance with the decision of the medical board no matter whatever procedure has to be undertaken to treat him,” the Governor said.

He said the government would do its best to ensure the best treatment for the actor. He said a permanent mechanism had to be established in the country to ensure welfare of legends like Sharif during their difficult times.
