TECHNO-SAVVY LEADER
Born in Gujarat in 1950, Narendra Damodardas Modi joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at an early age and was later drafted into the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Modi’s journey began in the by-lanes of Vadnagar, Gujarat. He was the third of the sixth children of Damodardas Modi and Hiraba Modi. The entire family lived in a small single storey house. His father sold tea at the local railway station. In his early years, Modi too lent a hand to his father at the tea stall. Made Gujarat chief minister in 2001, Modi led the BJP to power in the state for three consecutive terms and then at the Centre back to back in 2014 and 2019. He completed his MA in political science from Gujarat University. Known as one of the most techno-savvy leaders, he is very active on social media platforms. He begins his day with Yoga.
