Aman in his 40s allegedly stripped naked and walked around the Egyptian village of Al Namana in Al Sharkia governorate to win a bet.

He refused villagers’ attempts to clothe him. “I saw the man without clothes,” Diaa Mohammad, a grocer, told newspaper Al Watan. “Children gathered around him as he walked naked. People thought he had been caught doing something immoral and did not enough time to wear his clothes.”

He added: “The scene was nauseating. He prevented anyone from covering him. He refused to put on any clothes.”

Later, the offender, a sheep trader, received 25,000 Egyptian pounds from a person he had made a bet with. “He then sat down still naked in front of his house, counting the money,” Mohammad said.

“He is not poor,” Nabil Awwad, another resident, said. “He owns sheep worth thousands of pounds.”

The act forced the village’s shocked womenfolk to stay indoors. There was no comment from local authorities on the incident.
