Heritage row heats up in Sindh
Leader of Opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, has vowed not to allow any commercial activity at the Quaide-Azam House Museum (QAHM) that could diminish its heritage status as the former private residence of the nation’s founder in Karachi prior to the partition.
Adil Sheikh visited the QAHM after reports that the Sindh government has allowed unauthorised construction on the protected heritage site in Karachi. He said he got to know that an underground car parking facility and four-storeyed building was being built on the premises.
