Minor rape survivor victimised by cop

A minor girl, a rape survivor, was raped by a police constable in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, according to a police complaint received yesterday.

The father of the girl lodged a complaint in this connection with Kadaba police station in Dakshina Kannada. According to police sources, the accused has gone missing following the incident.

The minor girl had lodged a case of rape two years ago at Kadaba police station. Thereafter the accused used to interact with her in relation to the case. The girl was five-and-a-half months pregnant by the time her parents came to suspect something amiss, the complaint stated.
