Constable turns gun on self at court gates
A police constable died after shooting himself with his service weapon at the gates of the Delhi High Court, where he had been posted on duty, a senior police official said yesterday.
According to the official, the deceased was from the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary and had been deployed in the High Court security. A police team, including senior officials, conducted investigations at the spot.
The 30-year-old constable, identified as Tinku Ram and hailing from Kotkasim in Alwar, had rejoined duty yesterday morning after returning from leave.
