Indian businessme­n in the UAE have hailed their country’s great presence at Expo 2020 Dubai and discussed ways to boost trade and investment ties between the UAE and India.

MA Yusuffali, chairman of Lulu Group, one of the largest exporters of fresh and processed food from India to the Middle East said, “there is huge demand for high quality organic and pesticide-free vegetables and fruit in the region” and emphasised the need to further boost the infrastruc­ture.

Dr Azad Moopen, founder chairman and managing director of Aster DM Healthcare, appreciate­d the Indian government and its Expo partner Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry for the futuristic and cultural showcase of India which will attract millions, during the six-month extravagan­za.

Kamal Vachani, group director and partner at Al Maya Group, said the magnificen­t India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai would be a powerful platform for India to showcase its vibrant culture and tremendous growth opportunit­ies.
