Four of family hacked to death

Four members of a family, including a child, were hacked to death in the eastern state of Jharkhand’s Singhbhum district, police said.

The bodies were found by villagers yesterday morning in a paddy field near their house.

They were apparently hacked to death with an axe, following a feast with a couple of other families, police said. The others who attended the feast were being interrogated. A land dispute is suspected to have led to the killings, police added.
