Dubai-based amateur receives Classic invite
Teen Noja to take part in only night golf event in world
Dubai-based hotshot Chiara Noja will join some of the biggest names in golf at the Dubai Moonlight Classic presented by EGA later this month after the teenager received an invitation to the only night tournament in world golf.
The Englishwoman, who plays off a handicap of +7, was added to the list of invitees on the Ladies European Tour (LET) website over the weekend, joining the likes of double Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew, four-time Major winner Laura Davies and the Jutanugarn sisters on the Faldo course.
It will be second successive appearance for the amateur sensation, who posted rounds of 77, 86 and 73 at last year’s edition having moved to Dubai just a few weeks earlier.
Noja comes into this year’s tournament stronger than ever with a string of fine performances under her belt on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS) — the official development tour to the LET.
The youngster made history at the Golf Flanders LETAS Trophy in the summer after rounds of 66, 70 and 73 saw her finish runner-up in Belgium.
