Woman sustains 400 stitches after assault

A Jordanian man has been arrested for attacking his colleague with a rusty scalpel, which resulted in her getting more than 400 stitches to her face. Both work at an insurance company on a shift system with women handling the morning shifts and men taking over later.

On the day of the incident, the victim had an argument with the accused and reported the matter to her manager through video conference.

This provoked her colleague who locked the room where she was and assaulted her with the scalpel, leaving deep injuries in her face. He then surrendered at a police station.

The victim’s family sought maximum punishment for him.
