Stallone bows out

Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that he has filmed his last-ever scenes in the Expendables franchise, and he is now “passing the baton” over to actor Jason Statham and his “capable hands”.

“EXPENDABLES finale for me. Today is my last day of filming,” he posted on social media.

Stallone also posted a video message for his fans. “I just finished a very successful stunt and it’s time to be moving on. I’m enjoying it, but it’s always bittersweet when something you’ve been so attached to I guess since 12 years. I’m ready to pass the baton on to Jason [Statham],” the veteran star added.
