Pakistan: Youth can be the key to success

There are a lot of factors going in Pakistan’s favour to win the T20 World Cup. The team are well aware of the UAE pitches, the weather and all the conditions — and they have a healthy following here to cheer them on. We can easily say the UAE is Pakistan’s second home because they have played a lot of cricket here in all formats over the past decade.

Players such as Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shadab Khan and Hassan Ali are in very good form and — obviously — with the help of seniors in the shape of Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, they will help win this edition of the T20 World Cup. We will definitely miss some senior guys like Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Amir, but I still believe that Pakistan are capable of winning, as they are all young and energetic.
