Eight of family killed in accident in Haryana

Eight people, including a child, were killed when a speeding truck ploughed into their car that was parked on an expressway in the Jhajjar district of Haryana last morning. The crash took place on the KMP Expressway between Badli and Farukhnagar, police said.

The victims, residents of Nagla Anoop village in Uttar Pradesh, were returning home from Gogamedi in Rajasthan.

“The driver had parked the car behind a truck that was parked at the side of the road. A truck hit their vehicle from behind and the car got crushed between the two trucks,” said a police official investigating the case.

The driver of the car along with a child and a woman escaped as they were not in the car.
