EU forum puts women in centre stage
Political, business and social influencers stress gender balance
The European Union (EU) conducted a high-level global forum at Expo 2020 Dubai to accelerate women empowerment and discuss best policy practises to enhance women’s participation in the labour market of the 21st century.
The meeting brought together distinguished political, business and society leaders who are bringing about positive change in their communities around the world. Several prominent government officials, business leaders, philanthropists, behavioural scientists and storytellers highlighted the positive and multidimensional contribution of women to society. They also offered solutions to tackle gender-based discrimination and the active role that men can play in championing gender equality.
The event was held in partnership with the Embassies of Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the Commissariat General of Italy for Expo 2020 Dubai and United Nations Women and hosted at the Women’s Pavilion by Expo 2020 Dubai in collaboration with Cartier.
