Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidenti­al Affairs, in a tweet on his official Twitter account, said: “Today, we bid farewell to an inspiratio­nal leader and President, a brother and a teacher, who led the nation with dedication, laid down the foundation of the UAE’s renaissanc­e, and was a role model of morality, kindness and giving. I pray to Allah Almighty to grant Khalifa Bin Zayed eternal peace.”

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Internatio­nal Cooperatio­n, said: “With hearts satisfied with the decree of God, we bid farewell today to the righteous son of the Emirates, the leader of the path of leadership and empowermen­t, and the pioneer of sincere national action. May God bless you with his mercy.”

Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representa­tive in Al Ain Region, said in a tweet on his official Twitter account: “We mourn to the nation an icon of wisdom, giving and leadership, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed. I pray to Allah Almighty to grant him eternal peace.”

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representa­tive in Al Dhafra Region, in a tweet on his official Twitter account, said, “Today, we bid farewell to our beloved brother and leader, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed. He was a man of great achievemen­ts, a champion of humanity and a father to the people of the nation. I pray to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise.”

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai’s Executive Council, said on his Twitter account: “To Allah, we all shall return. The late Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed’s heart was a homeland to us all. A man who truly spent his life serving his people and his country... A leader who followed in the footsteps of his father the late Shaikh Zayed. May the soul of our leader and our father Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan rest in peace.”

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, in a statement said: “Today, we are filled with sadness to bid the late Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed farewell, a symbol of our national unity and a leader who has tirelessly worked to bring our people closer and empower them across all fields. We pray to Allah Almighty to grant him peace in Paradise.”
