Mohammad stresses key roles of public, private sectors
HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors to help realise the vision of the UAE and Dubai and accelerate the country’s development.
Speaking during a meeting with a number of local dignitaries, heads of Dubai Government entities and businessmen at his majlis in the Zabeel Palace in Dubai, he said that development is a continuous process aimed at achieving the nation’s goals and aspirations.
The meeting also discussed efforts to further improve government services and enhance the businessfriendly legislative framework.
Shaikh Mohammad also honoured the winners of the Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service yesterday. He lauded the efforts and contributions of the honourees for their service and philanthropic works that reflect the cohesion of the society and the solidarity between its institutions and members.

The meeting was held in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
Building partnerships
Shaikh Mohammad highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors to accelerate the country’s development.
The meeting discussed efforts to improve government services and enhance the businessfriendly legislative framework to consolidate Dubai’s status as an investment destination.
Productive partnerships between the public and private sectors over the last five decades have enabled the UAE to make significant achievements in various spheres and earn global recognition, he said.
Shaikh Mohammed highlighted the need to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and showcase the experiences of Emirati businessmen. He said the nation’s youth play a major role in strengthening the UAE’s leadership.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
