Residents feel mild tremors

An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude hit southern Iran, yesterday evening, the UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

The quake was recorded at 5.59pm UAE time according to the NCM’s National Seismic Network.

No effect

The quake had no effect in the UAE although it was slightly felt by residents, according to the NCM. Some residents in high-rises reportedfeeling mild tremors at around 6pm.
