Looking forward to World Cup

Football’s biggest tournament — the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 — begins tomorrow (“Qatar World Cup 2022: Full list of 26-man squads playing in the FIFA tournament”, Gulf News, November 15). I had planned to go to Qatar, but due to time constraints and a cash crunch, I couldn’t manage it.

I look forward to my favourite team, England, winning the cup. They are a talented team with players who have the right attitude. Oftentimes, fitness is one of the most important factors to win the Cup. England’s chances of winning are not assured, but anything is possible in football.
