Holidays for 2023 announced

The UAE Cabinet has announced national holidays for the public and private sector for 2023. The next public holiday will be New Year’s Day, followed by Eid Al Fitr.

The Cabinet’s decision will make it easier for citizens and residents to plan their vacations in advance. The holidays for 2023 are:

■ New Year’s Day: January 1

■ Eid Al Fitr: Ramadan

■ 29 to Shawwal 3

■ Arafat Day: Dhu Al Hijja 9

■ Eid Al Adha: Dhu Al Hijja 10-12

■ Islamic New Year: July 21

■ Prophet Mohammad’s birthday: September 29

■ UAE NationalDay: December 2 -3
