Child exposed to rare toxin saved

A seven-year-old child almost died after being exposed to Abrin, a poison released by the seeds of a plant called Abrus precatorius.

He was discharged yesterday from a private hospital in Delhi. The toxin or poison the child was exposed to is as dangerous and fatal as snake venom and carries a high fatality rate if not treated on time, added a press release.
