Man with exotic animals caught

Chennai Airport’s Customs team seized four exotic animals from the luggage of a male passenger. Officials said yesterday, “Two pygmy marmosets and two dusky leaf monkeys were found in the baggage of an arriving passenger ... The dusky leaf monkeys were dead upon arrival.” The pygmy marmosets were sent back to Bangkok. They were seized under the Customs Act, 1962 and Wildlife Protection Act 1972.
