Exhaustion is rife these days with many of us not getting enough sleep at night leading to extreme tiredness throughout the day. This week we are taking a closer look at some of the reasons for this fatigue and how to combat it. Stress and vitamin deficiencies are some of the leading causes of feeling tired. A visit to your doctor and a simple blood test is essential. If we have food sensitivities, elevated cortisol levels, or even dehydration we may be feeling run down during the day.
If you are experiencing stress, it is important not to ignore it. Unfortunately we live in an age where stress levels are high. Our jobs, relationships and even social media all contribute to our stress levels. Address your issues and find ways to work through them. Exercise can help tremendously with stress.
Diet is another factor that contributes to fatigue. Sugar really messes with our bodies causing our blood sugar levels to spike and crash. This crash triggers a sudden loss in energy and feelings of extreme tiredness. Eliminating refined sugars and processed foods from our diets will help in our quest to combat exhaustion.
