30, Lebanese

Harper's Bazaar (Arabia) - - The Style -

“I chose to move to the Middle East five years ago, after I won Miss Australia and all these opportunities began to open up to me as a model. Being of Lebanese decent, I wanted to be in the Arab world, but at the same time be where all the brands were – in a fast-paced city like Dubai. It is such a melting pot of nationalities, brands and projects. Although I was born and raised in Sydney, I came from a Lebanese family and my mother dressed up. While she is always so elegant and up-to-date with all the latest trends, Australia is all about effortless beauty, so I also learnt how not to overdo things. I think there ended up being a great synergy between those two worlds. Now, I always love to be on trend, and I mix classic and avant-garde. Because of my mother I like to experiment but to do it in an effortless way. My style is classic but fun at the same time. I always like to add a twist to my outfit. If I’m going out I love to overdress and I love print and colour, and I also like to be seasonless. I love the way women dress here – I get a lot of inspiration from them, and the pieces they wear. They’re daring and they like to be different.”
