Hello! Middle East - - LIFESTYLE -

It’s one of three hotspots in Dubai with LA-based celebrity chef David Myers at the helm, and offers everything for the ultimate date night -- low twinkling lights, well-spaced out tables that allow for intimate conversations, views across the canal and a mouth-watering menu filled with romantic sounding dishes inspired by the Provençal region of France.

And with accolades including Michelin stars and James Beard awards under his belt, it’s no wonder that all of the starters, from the highlyacclaimed creamy, butter poached lobster risotto and the delicious-butfilling deep-fried king crab beignet covered with a smattering of sliced chilis to the tender, melt-in-the-mouth octopus, really hit the spot.

The main events come up trumps too with meat-lovers, pescatarians and vegetarians all catered for in equal part. The seabass grilled with wafer thin slices of lemon, and the lamb shoulder, recommended by our waiter, proved to be perfect choices.

Just make sure you order a selection of sides as what you read on the menu is pretty much what you get on your plate; we went for the truffleinfused mac & cheese and the parmesan-coated asparagus spears and weren’t disappointed.

The grand finalé came in the form of a hearty sponge pudding, accompanied by charred pineapple, that was dressed with finesse in cream and sweet syrup in a table-side performance by the restaurant manager. The perfect ending to a truly special evening.
