IDS Next chief executive officer Binu Mathews talks about the tech company’s newest coud and native platform FX1
Could you tell us a bit about your company?
IDS Next Business Solutions was established in 1987. Initially we used to operate through partners in the Middle East. However, we started our fully owned operations in Dubai 15 years ago.
What is your new product launch for this year?
We are showcasing our new gen, intelligent hotel platform called FX1. This cloud and native mobile platform is quite horizontal in nature, providing front office, housekeeping, and incident management, CRS and POS modules, with an open API to distribution, financials and CRM solutions.
Can you share more about this new product?
The guest is, and was, our primary focus when designing this platform. Over and above all the transactional needs of a hotel, this platform is embedded with guest experience enhancement solutions that covers pre-stay, during stay and post-stay engagement. Our innovative AI also allows hotels to increase revenue through upsell and cross sell of services and facilities. The entire product is an enterprise cloud solution.
This is currently hosted on Microsoft Azure utilising its security features and 99.99999 % uptime. Almost all transactional modules are completely native mobile applications. This helps us to leverage mobility at its best. Hoteliers can spend more time with their guests, than be stuck to a desk.
This multi-property, multilingual, multi-currency platform has a very detailed custom report module that allows hoteliers to build their own reports, over and above the multiple standard reports that are provided by the system.
Why is this product so important for the hospitality industry, and why should they buy this product from you?
With the new FX1 platform, we are giving hoteliers the power to know their guests better and increase return guest to the hotel directly. This is what modern hoteliers want, to be aware of guest behaviour and provide offers accordingly. The hospitality industry has very high staff turnover. Training of staff in systems and SOPS are important to make sure that the guest has a seamless and repetitive experience. Many hotels lose guests to competition due to gaps in this experience. FX1 platform’s intuitive design needs minimal or no training. FX1 platform also provides user-based KPI’S for performance tracking. This allows employees to be rewarded by acting on key SOPS and they can always monitor their performance against their peers. This enhances motivation and happier staff which results in happier guests.
