The Bri­tish But­ler In­sti­tute opens in Mid­dle East

School to pro­vide ad­vanced knowl­edge and tools to learn or fur­ther de­velop the art of ser­vice eti­quette for ho­tel front of­fice staff, among oth­ers

The in­ter­na­tional school for but­ler ad­min­is­tra­tors and house­hold man­agers is set to open its first Mid­dle East in­sti­tu­tion on board the Queen El­iz­a­beth 2 (QE2) and will pro­vide a ten-day but­ler’s course.

The school, the first Bri­tish But­ler In­sti­tute in the re­gion, will wel­come its first stu­dents on board the royal ship for a ten-day but­ler’s course coached by what the school says are some of the world’s most tal­ented but­lers.

The course is de­signed to pro­vide but­ler ad­min­is­tra­tors, house­hold per­son­nel, ho­tel front of­fice staff and pri­vate jet and yacht crew the ad­vanced knowl­edge and tools to learn or fur­ther de­velop the art of ser­vice eti­quette.

Founder of the Bri­tish But­ler In­sti­tute and for­mer But­ler to a num­ber of royal house­holds, prin­ci­pal Gary Wil­liams, said: “We are very ex­cited to be pro­vid­ing such a unique learn­ing fa­cil­ity for those em­ployed within the in­dus­try and even for those who would like to im­prove their eti­quette and host­ing skills for per­sonal rea­sons.”

Es­tab­lished over 20 years ago, the Bri­tish But­ler In­sti­tute is present in 16 lo­ca­tions world-wide and op­er­ates in some of the world’s most pop­u­lar tourism des­ti­na­tions, in­clud­ing the UK, Sin­ga­pore, China, In­dia, Italy and Mex­ico.

The wide se­lec­tion of cour­ses cover ev­ery­thing from pol­ish­ing shoes and pack­ing a suit­case, to food and bev­er­age ser­vice eti­quette, flower ar­range­ments and in­ter­act­ing with VVIPS.
