08 MILAN INTEGRATED MOVE

Some seven million visitors a year are expected at the CityLife Shopping District development which is due to be fully completed in 2020. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and located above Tre Torri station on the city’s Metro network, the 32,000-square metre project integrates a new public park with indoor and outdoor piazzas, food hall, cafes, restaurants, shops and cinemas as well as facilities for health and wellbeing. Offices for almost 10,000 staff and around 1000 new homes are also included in the scheme which features extensive use of bamboo flooring, ceiling and columns to welcome visitors.
