This month id explores the many ways in which design allows us to blossom – from educational design and exhibitions that expand our ways of thinking to kitchens, baths and furnishings that enhance our sense of self and well-being. Duravit’s new designs and holistic bathroom structure include two new furniture series and technological developments. The Brioso collection was created with designer Christian Werner. The furniture range features precise, finely nuanced geometry produced by slender cabinet frames that form the edges of the furniture, mirrors and mirror cabinets. XSquare was created in conjunction with designer Kurt Merki Jr and is specially attuned to the design of the contemporary DuraSquare washbasins. The most striking feature is the quadrant-shaped chrome profile that edges the furniture. The new Stonetto shower tray is also setting the tone – it and its new concrete colour are the result of a successful collaboration between Duravit and the Viennese design group EOOS. 04 427 4080 / duravit.com
